VISITOR VISA

Informally known as a visitor or tourist visa, the TRV may be issued for single or multiple entries to Canada.
Visa application is quite challenging. Applicants must demonstrate that they have the capacity and willingness to leave Canada at the end of the authorized
temporary period, the ties to their home country are sufficiently strong to ensure that they are motivated to return home after the visit to Canada, they must meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations.
Visitors to Canada, including tourists, business travelers, and other visitors must apply either a temporary resident visa (TRV) or an electronic travel authorization (eTA) from IRCC before coming to Canada. American citizens are exempted. A temporary resident visa (TRV) is an official counterfoil document issued by a visa office that is placed in a person’s passport to show that they have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident.
Holding a TRV does not guarantee entry to Canada. The admission of foreign nationals into Canada as temporary residents is a privilege, not a right.
